CoolSculpting is the revolutionary new method for getting rid of stubborn fat. You may have heard of it because celebrities are absolutely loving it. The reason why waiting between CoolSculpting Orange County treatments is important lies in how the procedure works. In this article, we’ll discuss CoolSculpting and why waiting in between treatments is best for optimal results.
CoolSculpting Orange County, CA: What Is It?
CoolSculpting uses round paddles of varying sizes to suction skin and fat, much like a vacuum. Patients sit in a reclined chair while cooling panels work to freeze and crystallize fat cells.
Patients may experience mild discomfort due to the suctioning action, but that will subside as the cooling feeling sets in. Eventually, the area will be numb. In the treatment room, patients can watch Netflix, play on their phones, read, or take a nap while the machine does its job.

CoolSculpting is for those looking for mild improvements. It’s not a weight-loss treatment; it is intended to help you lose inches rather than pounds. While you likely won’t see a huge impact when you step on the scale, you’ll be able to fit into your clothes much better.
It will often take a few treatments to get your optimum results when it comes to CoolSculpting. One treatment will provide you with change, but most patients are hoping for more, which is why they require multiple treatments.
CoolSculpting provides you with up to 25% fat reduction in the treated area to provide you with fat reduction in targeted areas. This can mean a slightly improved waistline, less bulging in a particular area, and more.
CoolSculpting also yields permanent results. However, the patient must control their weight. If you gain weight, the fat will go somewhere else. In order to maintain the results of CoolSculpting, you’ll have to continue to focus on diet and exercise.
CoolSculpting is a non-invasive procedure with extremely low risks. While you may feel mild discomfort, as we have discussed, that will subside within just a few minutes.
CoolSculpting leaves less room for human error in terms of fat removal but still has its limitations of fine-tuning and contouring the body in the same way more invasive plastic surgery procedures might.
It’s recommended that you schedule your CoolSculpting session at least three months in advance and six months at the most. The results will not be visible for at least four weeks (more on this in a moment).
As we have mentioned, you may not get the results you want with just one treatment. Since each treatment can only get rid of about 25% of fat in the treated area, some people might want 50% of their fat treated. This means a minimum of two CoolSculpting treatments.
If you plan on having more than one treatment, it’s important that you wait between treatment sessions. The reason for this is that it takes time for the final results to appear after your first treatment.
The body must naturally expel the frozen, dead fat cells on its own, which can take some time. People typically start to notice results after just a few weeks, but it can take up to four months to see the final results.
If you are considering another CoolSculpting treatment to build upon the results of your first, you should wait as long as possible (up to six months) between sessions, or at least the full 16 weeks.
You may find that you’re happy with the results after the first treatment if you’ve waited the full 16 weeks. Many people do find that one treatment is enough to achieve their goals.
However, if you are considering a second treatment, it’s best to see the full extent of your results in order to determine whether you want to treat the same areas or other areas of the body to improve proportions.
Unfortunately, your body can change during the time after your first CoolSculpting treatment if you do not take proper care of it. If you’ve gained weight, it’s a good idea to wait until you’re back to your target weight before you schedule another session.
Whether you’ve gained weight after the first year or you’ve had children since your first treatment, you’ll want to lose as much weight as possible before scheduling your next treatment. CoolSculpting is not for weight loss, so you won’t get the results you’re hoping for if that is the reason.
Fat removal treatments require some fat to actually remove the fat. For example, with CoolSculpting, you need at least an inch of pinchable fat in order to be a candidate for treatment. Once that inch is gone, CoolSculpting will no longer be effective for you.
If you have too many treatments, additional treatments won’t do you much good. It’s also possible that if you have too many treatments, you’ll have areas that appear concave or indented. Your CoolSculpting technician knows what’s best for you and can tell you whether additional treatments will be effective.
