In the beginning, I felt a little lost in the world, almost like I was a different person living the same life I was living before – like a stranger in my own life. When I would look in the mirror, I didn’t recognize the person I was seeing. When I would take pictures of myself, I would stare at them for hours, thinking to myself, “is that really me?” I struggled with this feeling for a couple of months, and with the support of my family and friends, I was able to come to realize that I am still the same beautiful person I was before losing weight – and so much more stronger, confident and sexy.
It is so important to understand that liposuction was just a jumpstart to my transformation and that liposuction is not a weight loss procedure. Following my surgery, I completely changed the way I ate, I exercise every day, meditate and practice mindfulness. It has been a lot of work, and the biggest part of my journey has been my dedication and determination to work hard to make myself a better person on the outside and the inside.
