COSMETIC
SURGERY
There
are two basic types of aesthetic or cosmetic plastic surgery.
The
first may
improve parts of the face or body which may be undesirable
in shape or size.
The
second type
of surgery is performed to improve and correct the effects
of aging such as facial wrinkles, saggy neck and jowls, droopy
eyelids or brows.
Cosmetic
surgery is usually not covered by health insurance because
it is considered elective.
RECONSTRUCTIVE
SURGERY
Reconstructive
surgery is performed on abnormal structures of the body caused
by congenital defects, developmental abnormalities, trauma,
infection, tumors or disease. It is performed to improve form
and function.
Education
is key when considering any type of surgical enhancement. And,
every patient has unique concerns and objectives that our surgeons
take the time to address individually before recommending the
most appropriate procedure. Then, every effort is made to ensure
that our patients are comfortable with their decision.
At
CosmetiCare we feel that the measured success of any procedure
is achieved through a team approach, with patient and surgeon
working together to help achieve the best possible, most natural-looking
result.
